VOLUNTEERING AS A FORM OF ACTIONS AT THE TIME OF JOB LOSS.

The project, action 1.1. - YOUTH EXCANGE, will take place in the city of Nova Gorica and the villagge of ?epovan. The theme of the project will be using voluntary activities at a time of job loss and study various forms of individual behavior during personal crises due to job loss


The project will last 10 days. It will include 6 participants form each country (age 13 to 25).

The objective of the project is to realize and determine voluntary actions at the time of job loss.
Participants will take part in the workshops, visit various organizations and voluntary activities during the day.
Participants will analyze the emotional, social and financial status of individuals who lose their jobs, they will visit Employment service Nova Gorica, humanitarian organizations, NGOs, municipality, hospitals and analyze examples of good practice during personal crises due to job loss. Participants will also work as volunteers in those organizations and have opportunity to speak with individuals who in reality lose their jobs.
Participants will make evaluation of their daily activities in the evening and speak about their experiences as volunteers. Participants will also make a »virtual« career plan at the time of job loss. There will be presentations of the countries involved in the project in the evenings (music, theater and social programme).
We are planning also 2 trips, one to the capital of Ljubljana, second to the mountain region of River So?a and Julian Alps.
Participants will also have opportunity to experience evening events in the city of Nova Gorica.
The methods applied during the project will be: team work, team planning and evaluation, round tables, interviews with staff in the organizations.

  2. Prepare a documentfor Braga 2012 European Youth Capital Citywithsome Youngsters perspective according to Youth Partcipation in Democratic process



Strategy and metodology

The project will have 6 months term having, AAUM-RUM as coordinator, plus more 6 Program Countries
Each partner will have one Main subject, that they will execute according to SD in their countries, reaching at least 20 youngs and selecting 4 participants per Country for Europa Viva Seminar in June2011 in Braga, Portugal
The Final Seminar will work on the conclusions of each partner and each subject, once again following the SD method.

Impact and Target

The project will have a strong impact on local young Organizations.
Participants will be aged from18 to 30 Years
There will be 2 Conferences per partner country plus 3 in Portugal.
All conclusions will be represented at the Final Seminar from 05 to 11 June 2011.
The Project expect a multiplier effect.
The Project intents to contribute with formal Documentto the European Capital City–Braga 2010
